
	Live Oak Canyon Christmas Tree Farm is a family owned and operated farm. Established in 1980 by brothers Gregg B. Palmer and David L. Palmer. Starting with dry brush and rolling hills they have turned 45 acres of the farm into a brilliant green landscape of Christmas Trees, Pumpkins, Gourds, and more. The farm is located at the corner of I-10 and Live Oak Canyon Road in the city of Yucaipa. With mountain views and pastures of cattle grazing, the farm has the perfect setting for a country outing with the family.
Lowell S. Palmer, grandfather of the brothers, was traveling the old highway in 1950s on his way back from the desert. Turning his head to see the cattle grazing in the pasture his hat blew of and into the pasture. Stopping quickly he climbed over the fence to retrieve his hat. As he was returning to his car the then owner approached, and by the end of the day that beautiful pasture had a new owner. The property became known as Live Oak Canyon Ranch, countinuing to pasture cattle for the next 30 years.

In the late 1970s Gregg planted and harvested a couple crops of oat hay. He enjoyed growing plants but needed to find one that best used the great location. In 1980 the first field of Monterey Pine Christmas Trees were planted. The first sales were in 1983 and the response from customers was great! Today thousands of Christmas Trees of every possible variety are offered at the farm. Christmas decorations, wreaths, garlands, potted trees and more are available for holiday decorating. In the late 1980's the first Pumpkin Patch opened at the farm with excellent success.Today we have over 20 acres of U-pick pumpkins, fall decorations of every description, and lots of farm fun available.
